Q: How is SlideShows4U different than other DVD photo slideshow companies?

A: We will pay close attention to your requirements. Our concern is to ensure your full satisfaction. We will spend as much time with you as needed to really know what you expect of your slideshow and how we can best personalise the production.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: We offer extremely competitive total package pricing! We offer you the choice of three packages, Silver, Gold & Platinum. The Platinum package is the best value and offers the ability to fully customise your slideshow presentation.

Q: Will your DVD's play on any DVD player?

A: We record our slideshow movies on high quality DVD-R discs. Our DVDs will play on more than 99% of all current DVD players manufactured after the year 2000.

Q: Can you scan all of my non-digital photos?

A: For a nominal charge, we will scan your photos and slides using our high-quality scanning equipment at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. We can scan 35mm transparencies, instant photographs (such as Polaroid). In addition to your DVD slideshow, we will also include a separate photo-CD of your scanned photos. This alone makes the scanning charges a worthwhile investment. See our pricing page for more information.

Q: Can you put video clips into my slideshow?

A: Yes, for an additional charge we are happy to incorporate video clips of 5 minutes duration. We accept .mpg, wmv and .avi formats. See our pricing page for more information.

Q: What about text and captions?

A: Platinum Package customers have the ability to add virtually unlimited text and captions to their shows, including opening Title screens and messages, and closing Title screens and messages. You can include poetry, music lyrics, religious verses, quotes from family and friends - the options are endless!

Q: What if I want to see how my slideshow looks before you ship it back and I want some changes made?

A: SlideShows4U firmly believes in working with you on a personal level to ensure that your DVD slideshow is everything you dreamt it would be. We want you to be happy with your show. Upon completion of your slideshow and before burning and shipping, we will upload your show to a website for you to view and approve. Many other sites charge additionally for this service. SlideShows4U believes you should have a level of creative control. Need a couple of changes from your original plan? We will be glad to make minor edits to your show. Major changes or edits, however, may incur additional charges. This service is only available to customers with high-speed broadband internet connections (cable or DSL) and customers using the Windows OS. See our pricing page for more information.

Q: Where do you get the background music?

A: Our DVD slideshows are not intended for public presentation; they are intended and created for private use only. You can send us a CD containing the music you want on the slideshow, or we will be happy to purchase your music for you through a legitimate online provider. Once the music is in your slideshow we delete the files so that they cannot be used again. There will be an additional fee for music we obtain on your behalf. Q: If I send digital pictures, which format do you prefer?

A: It is best to send your digital photos in .jpg format, but we are also happy to accept .gif and .bmp files. Your images must be a minimum of 300 dpi for inclusion in our slideshows and if you send your photographs in digital format there is no additional charge added to your package price for scanning!

Q: Are additional copies of my slideshow available?

A: Additional copies are available for a greatly reduced price. All copies are presented exactly like the original - fully labelled and packaged. Our slideshows make wonderful and unique gifts for friends and family. See our pricing page for more information.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

Q: Can you fix my damaged photos?

A: Digital correction of minor flaws is only available to Platinum Package customers. We are able to digitally correct most minor flaws such as, Red-eye, Slight blurriness, Colour / Tint imperfections, Minor tears / folds and Small amounts of lens dust.

Q: Do you offer major professional photo restoration services?

A: Although we will make your photos look their best, we DO NOT offer major professional restoration services. If your photos have suffered severe damage, we strongly recommend that you consult a professional photo restoration company before submitting your photos for inclusion in our slideshow presentations. The overall, final quality of your slideshow presentation is directly related to the original quality of the photographs which are sent to us. We are not responsible for dissatisfaction with the final product as a result of unsatisfactory photographs.

Q: How can I send in my photos?

A: If you have digital photographs you can send us a photo-CD via mail or a traceable carrier. If you have print photographs we recommend you send them via a traceable carrier. We cannot be responsible for photographs lost or damaged during shipment.
